The Intelligent Chip Customer Comments (including The Super Intelligent Chip)

NEW!! "Geoff: First disc played. Very interesting. Need to listen to more. I had planned to listen to each disc w/o the Super IC, put Super IC on 3" tray section and relisten but I put it on first and said the hell with it, I'll go with my gut as I have chosen 5 discs to start with that I know inside and out, every detail. Lots of improvement on recording one: Massive Attack "Karma Coma" remix by the Mad Professor. Better SS depth, more detail, easier to hear small details in the recording and there were a few parts that shocked me in their difference. HF cleaner, LF seemed a little less but better as if cleaner and more succinct. OK, time for the next four tracks. Tweaks are so fun!" (cont'd below in next comment) - September 2012

NEW!! "(Continued from previous comments) Well things continued along the same lines. EVERY recording benefited. I focused on active recordings with a lot going on. So instead of a jazz trio, which I like, I used recordings like Zap Mama's "A Ma Zone" which has at least five different vocalists with a unique part per track and a lot of other musical nuance. A great recording I have heard and used as a reference disc into the thousands of times and the same results were heard: smoother, better, more detail, the most subtle parts of the recording became easier to hear and yes as is often the case with a good tweak or other system improvement I heard new information before never heard a couple of times. I have used 9 discs so far as I stayed up till 3 AM I was having so much fun. On Steely Dan's "Gaucho" I have always taken issue a bit with the female backup singers in Babylon Sister. In particular when they sing "Shake it". This was as smooth as I've ever heard it. This is a recording I've heard on many systems costing from 1,000 to well over 100,000 dollars and that is always a tough passage. Michael McDonalds vocal parts in "BS" also had more added life. I also chose another type of recording on purpose for this test. They are recordings with synthetic percussion. Whether MIDI based or other types they can really sound rough and harsh. I listened to both Karsh Kale's "Liberation" and Yello's "The Eye" in this vein and never before was the sound this smooth and satisfying. Soft Machine 5 (their best recording) and Mino Cinelu's self titled album have excellent fidelity and super HF quality and still they improved as well. The Fender Rhodes on "As If" as well as the sax really jumped out even more than their normal excellent level. A Rhodes lover and occasional player myself there was a new level of texture and flavor to the Rhodes like it was in the room. So I'm interested in seeing what happens as I reach 14 CD's used. I keep thinking of the old thermos joke with the punch line "how do it know?". Cheers..." - September 2012

"The Super Intelligent Chip is a LOT more than I expected. I treated several ordinary CD's in a beat-up old TEAC CD player. It was as if the TEAC suddenly turned into an SACD player that was playing directly through my Levinsons - without interconnects!!" - August 2011

"This "chip" is absolutely amazing! PERIOD!! I was looking to purchase/upgrade to some more expensive interconnects, don't think I'm gonna, now. I'm just gonna get some more of your chips. If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions: Having used the chip on my CD's, is this [change] permanent? Is there a certain time period by which the "chip" must be used...in other words, does it lose its ability to transform CD's if not used within a certain time period? Once again, Code Name Turquoise & The intelligent Chip are, well...I'm speechless...I don't know why the audio world has not embraced these for what they are...MONUMENTAL BREAKTHROUGHS IN HIGH QUALITY SOUND REPRODUCTION! Thanks" - Feb 2009

"I treated 20 CD's and performed the ABA test for 2 of those. One of the CD's was an XRCD of Ernie Watts and the other was a Boney James. In my opinion, the results for jazz are the most spectacular - there is a more spacious, 3-D sound quality; background instruments are brought a little more forward, but not past the point where they belong. The New Intelligent Chip is a step away from recorded sound and a step towards an actual live presentation...it is much easier to imagine the artists being in the listening room. While it is possible to be skeptical about the claims of your New Intelligent Chip, as I used to be, I now think the claims made by you and your customers are very valid." - May 2008

"Before I installed Codename Turquoise I used the Intelligent Chip I bought from you a couple of weeks ago. After sticking the chip on the tray, I selected CDs I really like but always cringed because of their awful sound quality. Anyway, I put them into the CD tray one at a time, playing each CD for 2 seconds as per instructions. After all CDs were treated, I removed the chip and threw it away. I then proceeded to load one of the treated CDs into the player, thinking perhaps a small improvement would be worth it. I was floored. The recording sounded like a remaster and high quality vinyl plus. I have never heard the recording sound so good any time any where. I couldn't ask for more. Thanks. " - May 2008

"After two evenings of listening I am amazed because some of the enhancements to my favorite CD's are not subtle! While I definitely heard improvements in clarity and more focus on all CDs, the most incredible was Holly Cole's "Romantically Helpless," the 4th CD I treated. I swear I never heard half of the information content in this CD, and this is well-recorded to begin with. The micro-dynamics, enhanced detail, sound stage stability (and focus) and instrument clarity after treating this CD were just incredible! It was like a curtain (not just a veil) was lifted away! Everything sounded so much more 'real' - for example, guitar cords, cymbals and bass. And her voice was absolutely palpable! " - May 2008

"The new chip is one of the most powerful things I've ever tried, definitely incredible." - April 2008

"The New Intelligent Chip and the Turquoise masking kit have actually changed my listening habits; instead of playing only one or two tracks from each CD (I own a Spectral CD Player), I now tend to find all the tracks highly engaging, even riveting -- what master tapes sound like. It's hypnotic and I'm tempted to use the word, "spectacular," but it's beyond spectacular." - March 2008

"Just to let you know the new chips arrived -- I have done one set of CDs and they all sound more spacious, detailed and just more listenable (these were all CDs I had treated previously with the original chip). Very impressive!" - February 2008

"At first listen the New Intelligent Chip has made a significant difference. My first impressions are of a much more relaxed sound (less digital) with better resolution and overall clarity -- amazing." - February 2008
